All of the beeswax used for this comb foundation is first heated to approximately 110 degrees Celsius before being micro filtered to remove all dross and moisture. This ensures that when you buy our comb foundation, you are only paying for pure beeswax.
The filtered liquid beeswax then passes to the sheeting machine. This converts the beeswax from a liquid state into a continuous flat sheet and is one of the secrets of making high quality comb foundation. During this process, the beeswax gains greatly in elasticity and strength to the point where a piece of cold comb foundation can be scrunched up and then flattened out again without breaking.
The rolls of sheet then pass to the automatic milling machine. The pure beeswax sheet passes between two precision engraved rollers which imprint the pattern onto the beeswax. The continuous sheet is then cut to size.
Throughout the process, stringent quality control checks are continuously carried out. The life of our Comb Foundation is indefinite if stored in proper packaging and in dry conditions. Because of its purity, it is not attacked by wax moths.

1kg Pure Raw Beeswax

Our beeswax is sourced primarily from honey comb wax cappings. These are the wax cappings that are produced by the bees when storing their honey harvest. Each cell of honey is sealed. (Like we use caps on preserving jars) These premium beeswax caps are cut off by the beekeeper during the honey extraction process. See photo. This ensures we can supply beeswax that is of the very best quality!
The raw beeswax is sterilized and purified in our machine to remove any honey residues or dross, cast into easy to manage blocks, and sold by the kilogram.
Beeswax is 100% natural and is antifungal and antibacterial. It is truly an amazing product from nature!
All real beeswax is "food grade" unless it has foreign substances mixed in. Consider that "comb honey" is a combination of beeswax and honey, and is certainly "food grade".
Please note: The colour of the wax can vary slightly, depending on what the bees have been foraging on.
We can supply beeswax at competitive wholesale prices. Whether it is for 50kg or enough to fill a 20ft shipping container, please email us.

Melt it down safely and quickly with our Wax Melter Pot.
Or use the 70 litre tank with heater jacket for safe heating.
Beeswax is a versatile product with a variety of environmental and health benefits. Some of the most common uses include:
Raw beeswax will remain solid at room temperature and does not spoil. It should be kept at a moderate temperature and can be covered with cloth or wrap to ensure it doesn’t become dirty or dusty.
If your wax is exposed to colder temps it may develop a powdery coating or outer layer. This can easily be removed by heating the outer layer of the wax and wiping the coating away.

One of the safest and quickest ways of melting down your Beeswax!
This pot is dual skinned allowing you to fill the bottom layer with water and heat wax in the main pot. This method keeps the melting temperature at a near controlled 100 degrees once boiling and quickly melts the wax with out risk of the wax getting to flash point.
Simply add 300ml (1.5L) or 500ml(2.5L) of water through the steam spout (remove the cap) and start heating it on a stove top. Add your wax and watch it melt. The cap over the steam spout will start to whistle once its boiling. Leave it simmering to melt the remainder of the wax.
1kg of wax only took us 15-20mins to melt in the 2.5L pot!
Available in 1.5L & 2.5L size pots
