Wooden Frames Fitted with Beeswax Foundation – Assembled & Ready to Use
Our fully assembled Russian Pine wooden frames are built to standard NZ specifications and ready to drop into your hive. Each frame is assembled with stainless steel wire and brass eyelets on the end bars to maintain wire tension, ensuring strong and long-lasting support for your beeswax foundation.
Grooved bottom bars allow the wax to fit full-size, from top to bottom, and horizontal support wires (3 or 4 depending on depth) give excellent structural strength to the foundation.
1/2 Depth (125mm high): Assembled and wired, ideal for comb honey or light honey supers. This is the lightest size when filled and perfect for easy handling.
3/4 Depth (176mm high): The most common super size in NZ. Offers a good balance of weight and yield. Also popular for use in brood chambers by some beekeepers.
Full Depth (231mm high): Commonly used for both brood and honey. Often paired in twos for full-depth brood chambers.
Jumbo Depth (286mm high): A larger option often used for single brood boxes. Closest in size to natural wild hives.
33mm: Fits 10 frames per box with extra space for wax and propolis buildup – ideal for brood boxes.
35mm: A snug fit for 10 frames in a standard super. Helps produce uniform, thicker frames.
43mm: Fits 8 frames per super. Creates extra space for thick, well-built honeycomb – great for honey supers.
Medium Brood: A thinner 157mm sheet ideal for brood chambers. Professionally produced beeswax ensures quality and rapid comb building.
Manuka Special: A thicker 157mm sheet offering greater durability – ideal for honey or Manuka harvests, where frames need extra strength for extraction and handling.
Each frame is crafted from slow-grown Russian Pine for enhanced strength and stability. Designed for both hobbyists and commercial beekeepers looking for durability, performance, and ease of use.
