Wooden Section Comb Honey Frame

Kitset frames made to suit the wooden comb honey sections.

Fit in a Standard 1/2 Depth Box

Two options available:

3 section frame - fits 3 wooden sections. Can have better results as there is no comb honey to fill out on the edge of frames - not always consistent.

4 section Frame - Fits 4 wooden sections. Fit maximum sections per frame.

Frames come with 4mm thick ply separator sheet to ensure the bees build the comb to uniform levels.

7 frames can be fitted per standard half depth super.

Alternatively you can use 5 of these section frames plus 3 standard Hoffman frames.

It is a good idea to draw out some standard Hoffman frames first then place them on outsides of the Super as bait frames to get the bees working in the super real quick.

In a marginal honey flow, the 3-section frames are more likely to all get filled completely, as compared to a 4-section frame where the bees may leave the outer corners uncapped.
